being the change we wish to see in the world.

We believe the progress we make as a law firm is underpinned by our principles and values. Ektara is iCounsel's corporate responsibility foundation – focussed on providing pro bono legal services and aiding charitable efforts aimed at bettering the lives of elders as well as young people.

Initiatives by Ektara

  • We have joined hands with several hospitals and healthcare centres spread across Tier 3 cities and towns in India to make geriatric care available to people in  need. In the year 2013, our initiatives have resulted in distribution of free medicines, drugs, clothes and food supplies to the most underprivileged of sections among the elderly.

  • Ektara, in collaboration with our strategic partners and certain third party agencies, currently organises welfare programs and day camps for young people across rural India. While these initiatives are designed with an eye for overall rehabilitation, matters pertaining to education, nutrition and inhabitable conditions receive the greatest level of attention.

  • The aim of our pro bono practice is to ensure fairness to all. We have tied up with several NGOs who refer to us both individuals as well as communities who are in need of legal support.Besides, we have also pledged support to the activities of some of these NGOs itself.

  • We have currently partnered with some of our clients in their corporate responsibility projects, also to ensure their compliance with the corporate social responsibility obligations under provisions of the Companies Act, 2013 (of India). This gives both parties a definite advantage, in terms of being able to utilise a common pool of resources, ideas and skill-sets.

Feel free to reach out to us at ektara@iCounsel.in if you are an NGO or work in the social space/sector and you believe there are ways we could help, or to even know more about our current corporate responsibility programs.
